Hey hey! I'm Amoni, a young, aspiring Black ballerina and Chester's first professional Black ballerina. Dance has always been a huge part of my life, so of course I had to make it my profession.
I've been dancing since before I could walk. I trained with Purpose Performers and am currently perfecting my craft at Dance4Life Delaware, one of the region's most demanding programs, where I've reached the second-highest level of their elite troupe. Through that journey I developed a real passion for teaching younger dancers, working with kids ages 3 to 12 on technique, choreography, and building their overall dance portfolios, and that's something I now offer independently. And when I'm not on stage or in the studio, I'm proud to be part of building The Furaha African Dance Company, because bringing this art form to more people is just as much a part of this journey as the performance itself.
